Training at home
Set up your home training space
You do not need a gym, but a little preparation helps.
Space
Clear an area about two metres by two metres. A mat or folded cloth protects knees and keeps you from slipping on tiles.
Equipment you already have
A sturdy chair for step-ups and dips, a backpack filled with books for extra weight, water containers as dumbbells, a towel for stretching, and stairs for cardio.
Training in the heat
Train early morning or evening, keep a fan running, drink water before and after, and lower intensity on very hot days.
Making time
Schedule sessions like appointments. Twenty minutes three times a week is better than an hour you never find.
Staying motivated
Track every session, train with a partner, and focus on how you feel, not just the mirror.
